BABES RIDE! A dedicated space for our women’s community & those that identify. On the first & third Wednesdays of the month from Harthan House (the BC Clubhouse). TWO STYLES:
“OG” Babes – Beginner & pace-friendly
Intermediate Babes – A bit more spicy
WHEN & WHERE
MONTHLY! Find the BABES rolling on the first & third Wednesday of every month, during the BC season, for one of two styles:
FIRST WEDS: Babes “OG” – our beginner, pace-friendly women’s ride where no babe is left behind
THIRD WEDS: Babes Intermediate – our spicier (but still friendly) women’s ride where the goal is to do something a bit steeper, quicker, & more challenging
Regardless of the style, all Babes Rides end for food, drinks & good times. Emphasis on the latter, because that’s what it’s all about

QUESTIONS?
-
6:00 PM in the spring & fall. In the summer, we switch to the morning to accommodate the temperatures. Always be sure to check the Strava event to stay up to date on any time / route updates!
-
Always bring / have a helmet, water (or other hydration) in a bottle or two, front & rear lights (required), the route on a computer or your phone (highly suggested), a flat kit (spare tube, CO2 or hand pump + tire levers), some snacks, and GOOD VIBES!

BABES OG – First Wednesday of the month: NO DROP!
BABES INTERMEDIATE – Second Wednesday of the month: Drop, with regroups.

Street parking in Clarksville can be challenging, but not impossible. We suggest trying to ride to the ride or finding a spot in the area to bop over on your bike. Rides end at Hold Out Brewing / Better Half, but please don’t park there during the ride.

OG – Beginner & pace friendly. This one rolls at a 12 – 14 mph average pace with a lot of instruction & support from the ride leaders. Frequent regrouping occurs to keep everyone together.
INTERMEDIATE – A progression from “OG” with a bit more hills at a bit spicier pace. This one rolls at a 15 – 16+ mph average pace and riders should be comfortable in a group, holding a more sustained effort. This one is still supportive & fun, just a bit more challenging :)

Totally normal.
Most Babes show up to their first ride a bit unsure of what to expect. Come with an open mind, a bit of confidence, and know that there’ll be a group of others ready to welcome & support. Babes Rides are great entry point to the bigger BC rides, and other group rides in general.
We always suggest coming once… the rest tends to take care of itself.
